The Adidas FC Schalke 04 Away 2016 Jersey is made of lightweight polyester with CLIMACOOL® technology, a ventilation system specially engineered with materials and components which will provide a superior moisture management, enhanced evaporation and better breathability. The design is composed of predominantly white, with stripes of off white arranged horizontally in the front area and other details in sky blue color. The V collar complements the piece, along with the German expression: "Wir leben dich" which means "We live you." Finally, the team badge and brand logo appear embroidered on the chest.

Founded on May 4, 1904, the Fußball-Club Gelsenkirchen-Schalke 04 is a German football club based in the city of Gelsenkirchen, the populous Ruhr Valley. The team has accumulated, in recent seasons, two German runner-up in the seasons 2000/01 and 2006/07. In both it led part of the championship, but let the title slip in the later rounds, passed by Bayern München and Stuttgart. However, in contrast, it was twice champion of the German Cup in 2001 and 2002 seasons.
