Description

Mengão's away shirt for 2021, developed by Adidas, honors Flamengo's 1981 world title victory. The uniform features the rrubro engro mascot in origami below the nape of the neck, in addition to the customized name and number (9) of the star De Gabi.

Technical information

Inspired by the uniform used in the "Golden Year", Flamengo's away mantle for 2021 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 1981 achievement, when it celebrated the victory of the Intercontinental Cup and the Libertadores da América. The piece features contrasting gradient details in the sleeve region, in honor of Tokyo, the city that witnessed this landmark in the club's trajectory, and, below the nape of the neck, the rubro negro mascot is seen in the origami version.
