About the club

Alcides Santos, founder of the club, studied in France, fell in love with football, and when he came back to Brazil he founded Fortaleza Esporte Clube, inspired by France. Fortaleza E.C was founded in 1918. One of the top Ceará clubs with the greatest group of cheerers of state and alongside the most traditional soccer teams in the northeastern of Brazil.
