About Sampaio Corrêa

The Sampaio Corrêa Futebol Clube is a Brazilian sports college in São Luís, Maranhão. It was founded on March 25, 1923 by a group of young workers Peladeiros. The club's name was inspired by the hydroplane Sampaio Corrêa II, which splashdown (term used for water landing aircraft) in Maranhão capital in December 1922.
