Umbro Vasco da Gama Training 2014 Sponsor Jersey
The Umbro Vasco da Gama Training 2014 Sponsor Jersey is made of lightweight polyester with mesh strips in the side for a better ventilation and breathability of the body. Its design features a royal blue color as predominant and also have cutouts in black, as the V neck with superimposed fabric. Still at the front, watermark print with the traditional vascaína cross. Diagonal stripes are also found, giving greater prominence to the team badge, embroidered on the left side of the chest. The Umbro logo appears on the opposite side with the iconic diamond, also found stamped on the back, complementing the details. In the inside of the collar, a tape mentions the year of foundation of the club. Finally, prints of sponsors appears throughout the piece.
After the rowing success, Vasco, for its greatness, felt the need to plunge their flag in other sports. Because of this desire for expansion came the interest in forming a soccer team. On November 26, 1915, Vasco da Gama decided to merge with Luzitânia SC, dedicated to soccer and that, until then, only admitted portuguese people in the team. According to a study by Pluri Stochos Pesquisas e Licenciamento Esportivo in 2013, Vasco da Gama has the fourth largest crowd of Brazil, with 5% of the interviewed.
