About Uganda

The Uganda team is proud of the 1978 African runners-up when they defeated traditional national teams such as Morocco and Nigeria and only lost the title to Ghana. Known as The Cranes, long legged and long-necked birds that inhabit the country, the Ugandan team is still the biggest winner of the Cecafa Cup, a competition held annually between central and east African countries.
