Technical information

The Musketeer
The Corinthians mascot appeared after the club's first friendly match on May 1, 1929, when the team beat the Barracas team from Argentina. The day after the game in the newspaper Gazeta Esportiva, journalist Thomaz Mazzoni, when reporting the match, highlighted the "fiber of the musketeer" in reference to the authors of the goals and Alexandre Dumas' book "The Three Musketeers". Timão's fighting spirit and courage, which are always very present, led to the Musketeer becoming the club's official mascot.
