Umbro presents the Santos Third Soccer Jersey for 2022, recalling one of the most remarkable moments in football history, when the team led by Pelé stopped a war in Nigeria in 1969. The delegation traveled to the country and visited a conflict zone, where participated in a friendly match. The victory came to Peixe, but the most important feat was stopping the city to see the King of football and the white-and-white squad play. The mantle has graphics inspired by Nigerian culture and other African ethnicities on the front. Inside the collar, you can see the phrase “Juntos Pela Paz, Juntos Pelo Futebol Alegre”, referring to the style of play of Santos and the Nigerian team. On the back, below the collar, is printed “Nigeria 1969” and “The Day the War Stopped”.
